DG Then & Now - The Nose Gear

The nose landing gear fitted to Delta Golf is not original to the aircraft but came reconditioned from British Airways. Prior to moving to Brooklands, Delta Golf sat on slave undercarriage - dummy gear originally designed to enable partially assembled Concorde airframes to be mobile during the manufacturing process at Filton. When the nose gear was fitted to DG at Brooklands in 2005, it was the first time she had sat on her proper gear for 15 years. Once the gear was fitted, the nose gear bay doors were also fitted.
