DG Then & Now - The Tail Cone
DG's tail cone was transported to Brooklands on 7th April 2004 and was one of the first sections of the aircraft to arrive at the museum. Actually comprising of two separate sections, the tail cone was sanded, primed and painted. The blue cheatline was also then painted on. The combined strobe and beacon light on the tip of the tail cone has been wired to illuminate and flash as it would have done operationally.
